I guess no one cares. No I haven't kept up with this blog, (obviously) but I doubt anyone cares about my opinions anyway. I am 15 years of age now. Wow, things have changed. Life is so crazy.

Christmas Spirit?

What do you think of when you think of Christmas? The million presents you'll find when you wake up in the morning? The stuffed stocking hanging from the fireplace? Eggnog guzzling and candy cane binging? Caroling and listening to Christmas music on the radio from Thanksgiving to the very special day? Or maybe all you can think is "Bah Hum Bug!" Is all this real Christmas spirit? Or is this just what America wants us to believe Christmas spirit is? America makes a huge deal about Santa Claus, only to crush our dreams when we find out there really isn't a jolly old guy in a red suit delivering presents to our house Christmas eve. Santa Claus has become such a huge icon in the U.S. that if you don't know who he is, there has to be something wrong with you. How do think people who AREN'T Christian feel when they turn on the radio and the only thing that they hear is Christmas music? What happened to freedom of religion? It's like America wants us all to be Christian, or expects that we are all Christian. Yes, I'm Christian, but I don't believe that I would like it if everyone was making a big deal about some other holiday around me! So take a second to think about all this, and ask yourself if you've fallen into the American "Christmas Spirit."

Me

Hi. My name is Rose Schultz. This is my first blog, and I am excited to share my story. I am an extremely characteristic person. The kind of person that you meet in the grocery store and can't forget them all day. In this blog, I am going to be sharing life as I see it. My opinions on all things from music to politics.

I am sure you are wondering about who I am exactly. Let's come right out and say that no, I don't consider myself normal. In my opinion, no one is. I love to read just about anything. I find my self reading into the wee hours of the morning. I love to write, although I am not very good at it. I look up to a very good friend of mine as a remodel. Her writing is out of this world, and she doesn't give up if a story doesn't go well.

I love to play Volleyball although I didn't make the school team this year. (I couldn't try out because I was at camp.) That's okay, there's always next year. I am pretty school smart, but I DESPISE mathematics. Even if I am fairly good at it.

I haven't always had the easiest life. I never lived with my parents although I know them very well. I used to visit them every weekend until my dad past away recently. Now my Mom lives with me.( at least for now.) She has autism and isn't always easy to have around. I currently live with my aunt. She is great. ( For the most part.)

I have always had a passion for music. I play the piano, clarinet, and I sing. I think I am good even if I didn't make the chamber choir. I think it's because she mostly picked chorus kids.

Well that's my life as I see it at least.
